Am I the only one who hates the musicvideo?
To clear things up right at the beginning: I love the song. It’s just such an earwig and I’m listening to it the last two days straight. But a minute ago I watched the musicvideo for the first time and I’m shocked how bad it is O.o didn’t anybody here notice how cheap it looks?
Okay, the cut is great and I think the split-screen is brilliant and fits to the story and the song … Also I don’t care that the told story in the video is completely predictable; it’s just bog standard and mainstream music and I’m completely okay with that! But does that mean the video deserves the lowest treatment ever? It looks as if the editor just put together some of the 3 or 4 shots they’ve made, maybe intensify the sun in the “streetscenes” to make it look happier, squeezed it in 16:9 and that’s it! Besides that the colors are miserable for my liking; a bit more contrast plus amplifying the chroma would’ve looked so much more elegant …
As I said before I liked the story itself as it is told in the story … or to be more precisely it didn’t trouble me^^ but the presentation in the video is just so plain boring ._. and what had the scenes with Flo Rida to do with the residual video? Okay, he has a part in the song, but Flo Rida on a hill with some girls in a car? O.o
Maybe I’m a bit too perfectionist, but it bugs me that such a cool song gets such a bad video ._.
